Our past defines who we are.
There are things from my past that I will do anything to keep hidden.
Things that I know Beth wouldn't understand. How could she when I don't understand what happened myself?
I blame myself everyday for the things I've done, and as I get closer to Beth I realise that maybe I'm not ready for this. Maybe I don't deserve her.
Regardless, I know she can never find out.
But if there was one thing I know better than anyone, it's that secrets don’t stay hidden for long.
And sometimes when they break, they are scandalous.
Review
This was a quick story to read.
It is amazing how your past determines your future but when you find out your past shouldn't have been what it was and you can change your future then this can be a good thing.
Roman has demons in his past that he can't get past but when he finds out the truth he does something about it so his future looks brighter.
Beth seems to stuck in a rut with her present because of her past but wants to change this, when he past comes back she doesn't want anything to do with it.
Both Beth and Roman need to work through their pasts to get to their future.
