About Sapphire Springs
The town of Sapphire Springs, Montana is a
fictional town. While driving across the country on one of our many moves, we
traveled I-94 in Montana. I-94 starts just east of Billings, Montana and ends
just east of Tomah, Wisconsin. It is a unique Interstate and at times seems
very isolate. However, while driving I decided to stop and take some pictures
and I happened to stop at an old country road named Sapphire Springs Creek Road.
I thought now there is a name for a Montana town and from that my beautiful
readers is where Sapphire Springs was born. I couldn’t let it go. It stuck with
me all the way to Chicago, Illinois and as far as Tulsa, Oklahoma, and even
south down to Mississippi. It kept coming back to me week after week, month
after month and year after year until it was populated, in my mind, with the
unique people you have and will continue to meet, such as Miss Millie the
surprise mail-order-bride, Miss Harrington the drama teacher, Kaitlin O’Grady
the Irish born spitfire who has opened an animal shelter on the outskirts of
town and who is probably one of the biggest mysteries to date in Sapphire
Springs. And of course Luke Kincaid, Miss Millie’s grandson. You will see more
and more of Luke as the series progresses. So come take this journey with me to
my lovely little town with its unique citizens and beautiful springs Enter a
